Madrid. May 8, 2023. - The Experience Center of the Madrid in Game Video Game Campus held the Demo Day, a day where the 30 startups participating in the Entrepreneurship Program had the opportunity to present their projects to the companies that make up the video game business ecosystem.

The first call comprises companies with very different profiles: from video game developers to gamer communities, web3, Esports Leagues, and other business models. After two intense months of work, the startups were the protagonists in a meeting where they could give a brief presentation about their projects. The Entrepreneurship Program started on March 9, 2023, and will host more than 200 companies in the next 3 years. The program aims to promote and elevate talent, generating direct employment in the video game industry.

With the aim of promoting cloud gaming and after months of negotiation, Nware, one of the companies participating in the Madrid in Game Entrepreneurship Program – creators of a cloud gaming system that allows playing more than 20,000 video games on any device without hardware restrictions – recently closed an agreement with Microsoft to offer Xbox titles on its platform to its users.

Begoña Fernández-Cid, co-founder and CMO of the company, points out that "the diversity of projects in the Madrid in Game Entrepreneurship Program is very interesting for us to be able to increase the number of titles available on our platform and give gamers more freedom."

Second World, another initiative participating in the Entrepreneurship Program and Demo Day, has launched Ball Guys Furry Road, its first mobile game. Iñigo Cavestany, CEO of the company, emphasized the importance of creating synergies with companies in pre-incubation, incubation, and acceleration phases: "Since we joined, we have formed a very good relationship with different projects such as CocoBay (web3 creator community), Beetested (emotional testing platform for video games), or Clivi (comprehensive social ecosystem for gamers), and we are exploring collaboration opportunities to integrate and offer our player community an even better experience than originally planned."

After the entrepreneurs' presentations, the Demo Day moved to another of the pavilions that make up the Video Game Campus, the Development Center. In a networking environment, the participating startups were able to showcase their projects in more detail and exchange views with entities such as the Francisco de Vitoria University or members of the Madrid Game Cluster such as Auren, Complutense University of Madrid, Rey Juan Carlos I University, L3tcraft, or NTT Data.

The cluster stands as one of the largest digital ecosystems in Europe, is one of the strategic pillars of Madrid in Game, and aims to increase the innovative and entrepreneurial capacity of companies in the sector in Madrid, aligning education and industry to offer new job opportunities.
