Madrid, July 27, 2023. - The Entrepreneurship Program of Madrid in Game, an initiative of the City Council of Madrid, continues to achieve success in its first edition, which began on March 9 with the aim of promoting and elevating local talent and generating direct employment in the video game industry. After several months of incubation, Clivi, the 'all-in-one' gamer platform founded in 2021 by Íñigo Martín-Calero (CEO), has closed a financing round of €392,000, bringing the total raised capital to €626,000 to date.
Clivi aims to change the way content is created and benefit users when monetizing their posts, becoming a reference in the creation and consumption of content related to the gaming universe. At the same time, it offers users a platform where they can publish, share, compete, create teams, and stay up-to-date on the world of video games and Esports in one place.
Business angels José María Ozamiz and Gonzalo García-Miñaur (founders of Wegow), Alejandro Vázquez Guillén (former vice president of Tuenti), and Francesc Minoves (finance director of Mr Jeff), among others, have accompanied Clivi since its first round. All of them, along with Lukkap's entry as the main investor, create a very solid group of advisors and investors. The funds raised in this round will allow Clivi to enhance the development of the platform and improve its services, while also allocating resources to attract and retain highly qualified talent.
Íñigo Martín-Calero, CEO of Clivi, expressed enthusiasm for the success of the second financing round: "We are thrilled to see Clivi being recognized in the industry. Being selected for the Madrid in Game program is a real honor. We are pleased to successfully close this funding round and will continue to work hard to offer our community an exceptional user experience."
